A typical Oracle Forms application carries 20–30 years of accumulated rules across thousands of WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM triggers, POST-QUERY procedures, and PL/SQL packages. Our migration engine parses every .fmb file, catalogs every trigger, LOV, and program unit, and converts them into structured JSON descriptors plus typed TypeScript validators. 100% of business logic is preserved. Nothing is approximated.
Will the migration disrupt daily operations?
No. The new TypeScript application connects to the same Oracle Database through a generated REST API layer, so the legacy Forms system and the modern web UI run in parallel against the same data until cutover. There is no big-bang deployment, no data migration, and no downtime window. Cutover is incremental — module by module — and reversible at every step.
Is DEX a software tool or a managed migration service?
Both. Customers can license the DEX platform and run migrations in-house, or engage our team for a fully managed delivery from initial .fmb assessment through production cutover. Most enterprises start with a managed pilot of 5–10 screens, then bring the platform in-house once the team is comfortable with the workflow.
How do you protect source code and customer data during migration?
The DEX runtime ships with OAuth 2.0, role-based access control, and audit logging as first-class primitives. Source code and data stay inside the customer environment throughout the engagement — we never move production data to our infrastructure. The platform is designed against SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 control requirements.
